Accepted ID Documents for the Meister Skills Competition

Examinees taking the Meister Skills Competition must bring one of the "Accepted ID Documents" listed below. Only documents that are undamaged, unaltered, and within their validity period are accepted.

Commonly Accepted IDs

  • Resident Registration Card (a valid application for a Resident Registration Card is also acceptable)
  • Driver's License (issued by the Korean National Police Agency)
  • Construction Machinery Operator's License
  • Passport
  • Government Employee ID
  • Disability Registration Card (Welfare Card) (with the resident registration number displayed)
  • Person of National Merit Card and National Merit Registration Card
  • National Technical Qualification Certificate (For the list of accepted qualifications, refer to Note 1 below. Certificates not listed there are not accepted.)
  • Powered Water Leisure Craft Operator's License (issued by the Korea Coast Guard)

Additional IDs Accepted for Primary/Middle/High School Students and Persons Aged 18 or Under

For primary, middle, and high school students and persons aged 18 or under, in addition to the commonly accepted IDs above, the following are also accepted.
  • Youth ID Card (a valid application for a Youth ID Card is also acceptable)
  • Primary/Middle/High School Student ID (must include photo, date of birth, name, and the school principal's official seal)
  • Certificate of Enrollment issued by NEIS, Government24, or the school (must include photo, date of birth, name, and the school principal's official seal) (issue date must be within one month of the exam date)
  • First page of the School Life Record issued by NEIS, Government24, or the school (must be certified as a true copy of the original) (issue date must be within one month of the exam date)
  • If none of the above IDs is available, KITPA's Identity Verification Certificate form (form link)

Additional IDs Accepted for Foreign Nationals

For foreign nationals, in addition to the commonly accepted IDs above, the following are also accepted.
  • Alien Registration Card
  • Domestic Residence Report Card for Overseas Koreans
  • Permanent Residence Card

  • Private qualifications such as ITQ, GTQ, DIAT, COS, COS Pro, SQLD, ADsP, Linux Master, Network Administrator, and the like
