Scope of Accepted Identification

Examinees taking the Youth IT Contest and qualification exams (Immersive Content Expert / Technology Startup Strategy Manager / Information Technology Aptitude Test) must bring one of the "accepted identification" documents listed below. Only IDs that are undamaged, unaltered, and within their validity period are recognized as valid.

Commonly Accepted Identification

  • Resident registration card (a resident registration card application within its validity period is also accepted)
  • Driver's license (issued by the National Police Agency)
  • Construction machinery operator's license
  • Passport
  • Government employee ID card
  • Disability registration card (welfare card) (must display the resident registration number)
  • National Merit Card and National Veterans Registration Card
  • National technical qualification certificate (Please refer to Reference 1 below for the accepted certificate list. Other certificates are not accepted.)
  • Nationally recognized private qualification certificate (ITQ, GTQ, GTQi, DIAT, SQLD, ADsP, ADP, etc.)
  • Certificate issued by the Korea Information Technology Promotion Agency (Immersive Content Expert / Technology Startup Strategy Manager / Information Technology Aptitude Test)
  • Powered water leisure craft operator's license (issued by the Korea Coast Guard)

Additional Accepted Identification for Persons Aged 14 and Under

Persons aged 14 and under may use the following identification in addition to the commonly accepted identification above.
  • Health insurance card (medical insurance card)

Additional Accepted Identification for Elementary/Middle/High School Students and Persons Aged 18 and Under

Elementary/middle/high school students and persons aged 18 and under may use the following identification in addition to the commonly accepted identification above.
  • Youth ID card (a youth ID card application within its validity period is also accepted)
  • Elementary/middle/high school student ID (must display a photo, date of birth, and name, with the principal's official seal)
  • Certificate of enrollment issued by NEIS, Gov24, or the school (must display a photo, date of birth, and name, with the principal's official seal) (issued within 1 month of the exam date)
  • Page 1 of the school life record issued by NEIS, Gov24, or the school (a "certified true copy" mark is required) (issued within 1 month of the exam date)
  • If none of the above identification is available, the Korea Information Technology Promotion Agency identity-verification certificate form (form link)

Additional Accepted Identification for Foreign Nationals

Foreign nationals may use the following identification in addition to the commonly accepted identification above.
  • Foreign resident registration card
  • Overseas Korean domestic residence report card
  • Permanent residence card
